It
all began in the year 1943 when the Lakhani family migrated
back to India from Mombasa (East Africa). Established in the
same year under the name LAKHANI & COMPANY by Mr. H. R.
Lakhani & his son J. H. Lakhani, this organisation specialised
in International Trading activities. Three generations later,
joined by the young enterpreneur Tushar J. Lakhani in the year
1974, with a Masters in Marketing, specialising in International
Business, Lakhani & Company operating from its premises
based in the heart of busy Mumbai city, initially did Merchandising
in Textile related products, Light Engineering goods, Enamelware
& Spices.
Exporting
to Africa in the 1940's , Europe from mid 1950's to 1970's,
Middle East in the 1980's & 1990's, the Company saw a change
in its Markets, its |
products
& its activities. The
last decade of the Century saw the Company Merchandising in Stationeries
to the U.S.A & the new Millenium saw the Company establishing
its own Paper Stationery Manufacturing facilities on the outskirts
of Mumbai. The past five years has seen FFi International steadily
increasing its market share in the United States.
It
has its own subsidiary company handling its logistical support right
from the moving of empty containers to factory until loading on
Board the vessel & handling post shipment documentation.
